General Questions
Does AGL Grass use infill?
Our synthetic turf is engineered to perform brilliantly without infill. Using innovative, infill-free technology, AGL Grass stays naturally fluffy and durable, minimizing wear and tear over time. This design eliminates unpleasant odors and annoying particles, ensuring a clean, inviting outdoor space. For over 15 years, AGL Grass has pioneered this premium, maintenance-free artificial turf for residential and commercial solutions, delivering proven performance and lasting beauty.
How long will the installation take?
The timing of an installation depends on the size and complexity of your project. However, on average, the AGL Grass crew can install up to 2800 sqft per day.
What is involved in the installation process?
The installation process has four general steps. The first is design and preparation, which includes determining the layout to minimize waste and maximize aesthetics. Then, the area is prepped, specifically by removing or capping sprinklers or piping and ensuring proper drainage.
Do I need to prep before installation?
The AGL Grass Team will cover the entire installation process. Before we arrive, you need only clean up the yard and any pet waste. Then, just sit back and relax, and you will soon be enjoying your beautiful new lawn.
Do I have to be at home or on-site during the installation?
We recommend that you attend the beginning walkthrough and the final overview of the work, but you do not need to attend for the duration of the installation.
How do you clean artificial turf?
Cleaning turf that requires infill can be time-consuming and expensive. If the issue is related to the surface, use an artificial grass cleaner and gently wash the turf. You may also apply a deodorizer. However, if the infill is contaminated or a deep clean is needed, it must be removed, which can be messy and costly. For no-infill turf, you can simply hose it down, use a blower, or pressure wash it.
Can my children or pets safely play on AGL Grass?
All AGL Grass products are completely safe for children and pets to play on. They have been installed in thousands of daycares, playgrounds, pet parks, canine training facilities, and doggy pet hotels across North America. Our products contain no toxins or harmful chemicals, leaving the environment and your loved ones safe.
Will AGL Grass stain clothing?
AGL Grass will not stain, break down, or leach onto any clothing. You can also say goodbye to muddy footprints from kids or pets.
How long Is AGL Grass guaranteed for?
AGL Grass has a 15-year non-prorated warranty period for residential solutions and an 8-year warranty period for commercial purposes. So enjoy your carefree property for years to come.
What are the cost components of turf installation?
Generally, the most significant component of the installation cost is ground preparation labor and materials. This includes infill material and installation costs, which can run around $1.00 per square foot, depending on the product used. The cost of the turf itself is less than 20% of the overall cost.
Does artificial grass get hot?
Like all synthetic fibers, artificial grass heats up under direct sunlight. It gets warmer than real grass, but it's not dangerous, even on scorching days. Modern turf is more realistic and stays cooler than previous generations of turf, unlike other yard materials like decking or asphalt, which can pose more significant heat risks. It's generally too hot to be outside in direct sunlight during peak summer heat. On such days, the extreme temperatures artificial grass reaches are unlikely to impact barefoot activities. Infill is also responsible for the increased heat retention in artificial lawns. Some types of artificial grass are better at deflecting heat.
I live in a cold climate. Does snow affect the durability of my AGL Grass?
Cold climates will not affect your AGL Grass. Snow, rain, salt, or sleet will not stain or damage your grass.
